    JAMES SOTO is currently a Paralegal at the Northwestern School of Law and community justice fellow at the University of Chicago. He is the longest-serving exoneree in Illinois history spending 42 years in prison. While incarcerated, he served as a jailhouse lawyer advocating on behalf of other inmates who were wrongly convicted or serving excessive sentences. Jimmy plans to attend law school in 2025 continuing his life’s dedication to helping those wrongly incarcerated.
